Nature Inspired

Living in Florida means that we can enjoy nature virtually year round.  We seem to live outside at least 10 out of 12 months of the year.  Regardless of where you live you can find many ways to bring nature inside and create your own "temperature controlled" nature retreat.  Here are a few ideas to consider when looking for ways to incorporate nature into your decor.

Talk about a tree house!  The wood clad walls and ceiling really give it character.  I would probably take it one step further and hang a swing from one of the branches.  Notice the varying shades of wood,  breaks it up and keeps it from feeling too similar.

This tree image is simply applied to the wall like wallpaper.  I love how the rug plays up the idea of the fallen leaves.

Products made from natural products like this woven seagrass rug and mirror bring great depth and texture to any space.  The natural shape of the beams in this image are also amazing.

Talk about a living wall, I'm not sure that I could keep this one green but it's an interesting idea.

You can't see the view from this resort space but it looks like the islands to me.

The easiest way to introduce nature into your home and often the most dramatic way is to simply add a wall of unobstructed glass and let nature take care of the rest.

So simple, why not frame a pattern you love.  These colors are fun and modern.

This is my new favorite potted plant, please someone tell me what it is?

We'd love to see how you are incorporating nature into your home.
