Outdoor Festivities

Summer is a great time to plan an outdoor event.  Why not take your party to the next level with a few simple details.  Lighting is always a key element that sets the stage of the event, whether it is indoors or outdoors.   Keep it simple, but make it special.  A cottage we stayed in last summer in Nantucket had beautiful lanterns hanging from the tree branches in the courtyard.  What a little slice of paradise!

Why not use the good china and linens, it will elevate the party to an elegant affair.  I hope that some of these fabulous images will give you a few ideas for your next event.

Southern Charm

The epitome of southern charm is enjoying your sunrise to sunset with family and friends, drinking some refreshing lemonade, and relaxing on that oh so southern front porch. Large or small it still allows for those precious moments in which you can just sit and think, look out, and realize how grateful you are.

Porches can be as simple as a few rocking chairs or as extravagant as a multifunctional space. They also can be molded into any style that reflects you or the home itself. Whichever way you choose, it will still be considered a tiny getaway just outside your front door.
So go ahead, sit, relax, and breath some fresh air.

Inspired Lighting

Brighten up your home with creative and out of the ordinary lighting fixtures. Whether it be subtle atmospheric changes or a great statement piece, it will most definitely be admired and appreciated by you and your guests.

Make your light a focal point by allowing it to be the first piece you see as you enter the room.   Whether you make a bold move that will make heads turn or

simply integrate subtle lighting features such  as recessed lighting underneath/within cabinetry or beautiful yet functional stair tread lights that casts a iridescent glow all the way up the stairs.
So many ideas, all gorgeous results!

A simple light used in mass can make quite the statement.

The color of the light used can also help to create drama.  This blue LED lighting helps to create the feeling of cool water when reflected off this textured glass.
